Free Fundraiser At InsiderPages.com

A few weeks ago we wrote about Insider Pages’ free online fundraising program. We liked the idea that there is no cost involved and that it is easy to set up and run.

Today we will ask Erica Osher, Marketing Manager at InsiderPages.com, a few more questions about Insider Pages’ free fundraising program and how you can benefit from it.

Q: Erica, thank you for agreeing to talk about Insider Pages’ online fundraising program. Would you please explain briefly how the program works?

A: It’s my pleasure. Thank you for your interest in the Insider Pages Fundraiser Program.  The Insider Pages Fundraiser is an easy, free online fundraiser that’s different from traditional fundraisers, as it  does not require selling expensive products or soliciting donations. Instead of writing checks, supporters are able to contribute by writing reviews of local businesses on InsiderPages.com. For each review Insider Pages will donate up to $1.50 to the group.  There is no selling, no upfront costs, and no risk to the group.

Q: Do the groups that sign up with InsiderPages.com need to have official non-profit or 501(c)(3) status? Is there an age limit?

A: No, not at all.  All we ask for is a valid 9-digit Tax ID to participate.  We also ask that all participants be at least 18 years old.

Q: What type of groups do you think would benefit from your program the most? College or high school fundraising groups, sports teams, larger groups raising funds for national charities?

A:  We have had groups of all types participate in and succeed with the Insider Pages Fundraiser. We have had PTAs raise money for a new playground, youth sports teams raise money for tournament travel, animal rescue groups raise money for veterinarian expenses, and local charities and community groups raise money for their local programs.

Q: Do you have any suggestions on how to best recruit volunteers for this fundraising program?

A: We have found that the most successful groups have actively engaged with their participants throughout the process. We suggest that organizers include a link to their Insider Pages Fundraiser in group newsletters, mailing lists, message boards and on the group’s website. We also supply press release and flyer templates to each group to assist in getting the word out. We encourage groups to invite their friends, family, co-workers, etc. all across the country to participate. The more people each group has participating in the Fundraiser, and the more reviews they write, the more money they can raise.

Q: What is the profit potential of your fundraising program? Are there any limits? Also, what is the average amount raised through your program and what is the average number of volunteers taking part in a fundraising event?

A:  There are no limits to the amount that a group can raise during their fundraiser.  The typical group will raise between $1,000 – $10,000, depending on the size of the group and the number of participants.

Q: Thank you Erica for answering some questions about Insider Pages fundraising program. Is there anything else you’d like to share about the program?

A: We really appreciate your attention to the Insider Pages Fundraiser program.  Particularly during these difficult economic times, when groups are finding it harder and harder to raise funds for their programs. The Insider Pages Fundraiser is a great option for groups to raise money without asking for donations, selling products, or conducting events.  We’ve heard from groups across the country that they are excited to give their members an opportunity to donate their time rather than their money, and participants love to support their organization by writing reviews rather than writing checks.

What do you think? Is this fundraiser for you?

In order to raise a good amount of money through this online fundraising program you need to either motivate a large number of people to go online and write a few reviews, or to engage the members of a smaller group to write at least 10 or 20 reviews each.

The bottom line is that the more reviews get written, the more money your group will earn.

If you haven’t started collecting e-mail addresses for a mailing list yet, this is your nudge to do so! With a good size mailing list you can simply sign up for the program, e-mail a link to your online fundraiser (this one or any other online fundraiser) and instructions to everyone and get started! If you have a website, be sure to add a link there as well.

We developed a new fundraising concept that may be of interest to you. Not only is it easy, it also helps students build their vocabulary and spelling skills!

Schools, youth groups, and churches can create a free 30-day trial to our online vocabulary and spelling tutoring program at http://www.eSpindle.org/trial.
A personal support manager assists your organization to help get started quickly and effortlessly. Schools can stage a competition to boost motivation. A push of a button reveals who has studied the largest number of words during the trial.

Regardless of whether the school decides to buy a sitelicense at the end of the free trial, or individual parents sign up for a membership, we will donate 20% of all proceeds to the organization’s fund drive. Rewards are also paid on renewals, and our average membership is more than two years.
