Join Our ‘Fundraising Ideas’ Group On Idealist.org!

Come join our NEW ‘Fundraising Ideas’ group on Idealist.org! The group enables you to freely share your fundraising ideas – what has worked and what hasn’t – and even find others in your area to collaborate with! You can start your own discussions, look for volunteers and more.

So what exactly is Idealist.org?

In their own words:

“Idealist is a project of Action Without Borders, a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 with offices in the United States and Argentina. Idealist is an interactive site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.”

To get started on Idealist.org, simply create a free account.

You can then go straight to our ‘Fundraising Ideas’ group, where you can introduce yourself, and ‘talk’ to others who have joined the group.

To explore the site, simply use their search function. Just type in a search term (fundraising ideas, your city name, specific fundraising campaigns, charities, names of non-profits etc.) and you will get a selection of groups, charities, volunteers etc. related to your search.

Another way to get around Idealist.org is to simply browse and search by topics (left sidebar) like ‘people’ ‘groups’ ‘programs’ ‘volunteers’ ’speakers’ ‘events’ and more.

Idealist.org is a great way to connect with others, post your own volunteer opportunities and even advertise for your non-profit. Sign up here – it’s free.

Our Twitter updates contain volunteer opportunities posted on Idealist.org!
